BEHAVIOR POLICY

LECP emphasizes a culture of collaboration, support, and mutual respect. Positive peer relationships and a cooperative learning environment for students and staff is important to us. Children and parents should be aware of our behavior policy:

FIRST OFFENSE: Verbal Warning
SECOND OFFENSE: Time-out
THIRD OFFENSE: Referral written and parents/guardians will be contacted

NOTE: Three written minor referrals or one major referral will result in a suspension and/or dismissal from the program for the remainder of the school year.

Electronic Device Policy: The electronic device policy is consistent with the school policy, therefore, cell phones, gaming devices, or other electronics are not to be used during a child’s time in the before or after-care program. All devices must stay in a child’s backpack. We request that toys, games, and any electronic devices be left at home as our school will not be held responsible for missing, damaged, or stolen property.

Parents will be notified of any discipline problems or positive changes in student behavior.

Medication:  Any medications that your child must take during the program hours must be registered with the program director.  Head lice may be a problem when dealing with the number of children in a school facility.  If a case should arise, parents will be notified.   A child having lice will be permitted back into the program when the child is cleared by the school nurse or with a doctor’s affirmation.

LECP is a service that is provided as a courtesy to Lehigh Elementary parents and families outside of the regular school day. Inappropriate behavior towards the staff and other children will not be tolerated and can result in your child being terminated from the program.

**All children MUST be potty trained in order to be enrolled in LECP.**
